What is a lawyer of confidence (ombusdsman)?
An ombudsman or lawyer of confidence is an external lawyer commissioned by the company. He acts as an external contact person for all employees and persons who need an objective and confidential conversation when submitting information.
When contacting the ombudsman, the whistleblower is assured of absolute confidentiality and, if desired, anonymity. The lawyer of confidence has no influence on any investigations by law enforcement authorities.
